How are they created?
Take a look at the tutorials and works-in-progress on my blog.
If you have never seen an artwork being created on a computer, you may think that it all happens with the click of a button... not so!
I begin with an idea from a dream which I might sketch very quickly onto paper before transferring the sketch lines to my computer via a scanner.
Sometimes I sketch directly into Photoshop using my graphics tablet & pen then I start to add colour by painting with my graphics pen and using little snippets of photos to add texture and depth.
The entire process may take a few hours or many weeks depending on how complex the piece becomes. When I'm happy with the result, the layered photoshop file is 'flattened' to make it ready for printing.
Many of these artworks are available as open edition prints or posters. Please take a look at my website shop or visit www.gingerkellystudio.etsy.com
